The first ones saved in the archive were from his time in Lota in the 1950s (from Mapuzungun, a small village in Lota). Lota is a commune and city in the southern Chilean province of Concepci\u00f3n's Biobio area. The commune is well-known for its coal resources as well as its underground mining workers, who have contributed to Chile's history and economic progress. It should also be noted that it is one of the Biobio communes with the most recognized heritage, having added eleven Chilean National Monuments to date.\r\nMost of the sketches from this decade are Lota landscapes, roofs of pueblo Hundido and seascapes with Lota, Playa de Laraquete, and Playa Blanca in the background. Some of these sketches served as the foundation for oil paintings. Ink and charcoal pencil were used as methods. (1) (2) (3) (4)\r\nAdditionally, sketchbooks detailing his travels to Europe are included. Sketches of numerous streets and locations in France, Belgium, and Italy are produced throughout his time in Florence, Italy, where he pursues ceramics lessons at the Richard Ginori State School in Sesto Florentino, Florence. During his year in Italy, he visited many places and documented his observations in his travel diary and sketches in Rome, Milan, Genoa, Pisa, Naples, and Venice (1953).\r\nIn 1954, he relocated to Chaleroi, Belgium. Small mining village where, in addition to restoring and decorating the Les Petits Foucault Chapel, he drew landscape sketches and croquis.
