Additionally, he established and oversaw La Cascada Pottery Studio, which had a consistent location at the base of Hill Caracol and in Ecuador Park. He taught ceramics courses at that location. He was awarded with the Municipal Prize for Art and Literature by the Municipality of Concepci\u00f3n in 1961, in recognition of his profound artistic contributions and significant role in the advancement of Penquista art and culture.
